Colden Corporation routinely manages all aspects of confined space programs for our clients. Our consultants perform each confined space evaluation using the criteria set forth in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) general industry standard, 29 CFR 1910. 146, Permit-Required Confined Spaces (PRCS), and OSHA 1926.1200, Confined Spaces in Construction. Proper management of confined space programs assists our client’s in achieving their overall goal of maintaining a safer workplace by ensuring safe entry practices.

- Evaluate currently defined confined spaces
- Develop and audit written programs
- Evaluate work sites to identify confined spaces and designate them as permit required or non-permit required
- Develop an inventory of confined spaces including photos, and post PRCSs with OSHA-required signage
- Provide guidance on selection and use of appropriate air monitoring equipment, respiratory protection, and PPE used in confined space entry/retrieval
- Review confined space evaluation forms, permits and provide recommendations to allow a space to be reclassified when possible
- Create and deliver training programs including confined space attendant, entrant and non-entry rescue options
- Perform periodic audits of work operations and documentation using canceled permits
- Provide guidance for the proper selection and use of safety and rescue equipment
- Evaluate a designated rescue service provider’s ability to conduct an effective and timely rescue
