Mark C. Yates
Industrial Hygienist
With more than 30 years of environmental, health and safety consulting experience, Mr. Yates works out of Colden’s Syracuse office to provide industrial hygiene support, safety assessments and training, environmental compliance, and asbestos project monitoring and surveys. Mr. Yates has extensive experience in managing all facets of asbestos projects including building inspections, air monitoring and project oversight for Fortune 100 and 500 companies. He also provides industrial hygiene exposure assessments for occupational and environmental compliance for our small and large industrial manufacturing clients. Mr. Yates managed all facets of community air monitoring during brown field remediation at several manufactured gas plant sites. Of special interest, he delivered site-specific safety awareness training to the largest state public organization in the United States.
Mr. Yates holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Le Moyne College. He began his career as a Senior Scientist working in environmental laboratories where he developed a strong background in all facets of environmental organic chemistry, with expertise in the analysis of environmental matrices utilizing EPA methods. Prior to his employment at Colden, Mr. Yates worked as an Environmental and Industrial Hygiene Consultant. In addition to helping clients with their industrial hygiene needs, he conducted Phase I / II environmental site investigations and assessments, performed data validation of environmental laboratory reports including providing litigation support and conducted field sampling.
