Colden’s Senior Consultant, Catherine Bobenhausen, recently participated in a task force formed by the President of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) to address the growing interest in wellness in buildings. As part of the task force, she identified opportunities for ASHRAE to pivot attention towards people, in support of health, wellness and wellbeing, recognizing a paradigm shift – building systems must function beyond ‘minimal’ or ‘normal’ conditions. As part of the task force, Catherine helped identify meaningful ways for ASHRAE to lead the field, with research, collaboration, and shared resources.
