Jason Straut
Project Manager and Consultant
Working out of Colden Corporation’s Philadelphia area office, Mr. Jason Straut serves as a Project Manager and Consultant. Mr. Straut has experience conducting building inspections and air monitoring services for environmental remediation projects dealing with asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold. He also conducts job hazard analyses and risk assessments, and provides construction and demolition project support, environmental site assessments, and waste stream and soil characterization for disposal. Mr. Straut currently provides safety and industrial hygiene support to various clients on large and small scale projects in a number of industries and is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).
Mr. Straut holds city and state asbestos certifications in Pennsylvania, and Maryland. He is a licensed Building Investigator for the City of Philadelphia and certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry as an Asbestos Building Inspector and Management Planner. He is also a Maryland Department of the Environment certified Asbestos Building Inspector and Management Planner.
Prior to joining the Colden Team, Mr. Straut worked for Wood as an Environmental Technical Professional where he provided project, technical, and logistical support. Mr. Straut holds a Bachelor of Science in Geosciences – Earth Systems, with a Minor in Political Science from West Chester University, and an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Montgomery County Community College.
In his free time, Mr. Straut enjoys being active in the community volunteering time with a local animal shelter and participating in area environmental clean-up and improvement projects. He stays active with outdoor adventures such as hiking, fishing, and camping, and spending time with family.
