Health & Safety Research Specialist

Ms. Neu-Baker serves as a Health & Safety Research Specialist out of Colden’s Albany office, bringing over 14 years of public health experience. Her areas of expertise include exposure assessments for engineered nanomaterials for the semiconductor and emerging technologies workforces and hyperspectral microscopy methods development for rapid screening analysis of filter media used to capture engineered nanomaterials from worksites. Additionally, she has extensive grant writing and technical writing experience and has contributed to an ASTM International Standard Guide for microscopic analysis of nanomaterials.

Ms. Neu-Baker earned a Master of Public Health in Biomedical Sciences from the University at Albany School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Neuroscience from Ithaca College. Ms. Neu-Baker also holds a Certification in Public Health (CPH) from the National Board of Public Health Examiners.

At Colden, Ms. Neu-Baker provides health and safety research support on a part-time basis, with recent emphasis on COVID-19. Concurrently, she is also a contractor for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), where she publishes exposure assessment data from NIOSH evaluations at worksites where engineered nanomaterials are handled. Ms. Neu-Baker is looking forward to expanding her occupational health and safety expertise at Colden beyond semiconductors and engineered nanomaterials and into a wide range of other industries.
