Join Colden at the AIHA Eastern Upstate NY Local Section meeting on Wednesday, March 5th, at Brown’s Brewing, 417 River Street, Troy. The event will feature a presentation by Colden Corporation’s Vice President, Michele Shepard, PhD, MS, CIH on the topic of “Ultrafine and Nanoparticles: Recap and Update for Industrial Hygienists”.

Ultrafine particle (UFP) sources and exposure potential have increased with globalization, industrial development, and advanced technology, along with increasing awareness by workers and the general public with published studies of health risks focusing on this particle size fraction.  This presentation provides an overview of ultrafine particle and engineered nanomaterial sources, hazards, and  exposure assessment frameworks ranging from basic surveys to more comprehensive or advanced sampling and analysis methods.

The event agenda includes networking from 5:30-6:00 PM followed by the presentation and Q&A session over dinner from 6:00-7:30 PM with 1-hour of technical content.
